Be it JEE or AIIMS, there are numerous entrance examinations depending upon the way you’re choosing. The list is indeed big, and it’s growing, slowly and gradually, day by day, as new colleges take birth and new courses develop.

The sole purpose of these examinations is to test a student’s ability in different fields. It qualifies the student for admission in that particular field.

Entrance examinations are usually very competitive, and it takes a lot of efforts to secure a reputable rank in them. Papers are designed professionally which makes them tremendously difficult to crack.

COMEDK-UGET

COMEDK stands for Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka. This examination, they say, is conducted in a free and transparent manner to judge the student’s potential in the best possible way.

COMEDK has quite good reach, which makes 20,000 seats available for students.

UGET stands for Under Graduate Entrance Test. It is supposed to be conducted by COMEDK on 10th May 2015 (Sunday).

14 Medical, 25 Dental and over 150 Engineering Colleges are affiliated with COMEDK presently.

UPCPMT Exam

CPMT stands for Combined Pre-Medical Test. UP stands for Uttar Pradesh in the acronym.

It is conducted through ChhatrapatiShahujiMaharaj University for clinical science students.

CPMT is a three hour examination having two segments. A CPMT aspirant must take up Physics, Chemistry and Biology and secure over 50% marks. Also, he shouldn’t be more than 17 years of age.

CPMT comprises of a variety of medical courses.
