To begin, EAMCET stands for “Engineering Agricultural and Medical Common Entrance Test”. It is conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTUH) on behalf of Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE).
This exam is conducted every year by JNTUH.
EAMCET is mandatory if you aspire to get admission in any private or governmental institute affiliated to JNTUH. Surprisingly, over 300000 students appeared for this examination in 2014.
In 2015, this examination is scheduled to be held on 8 May, 2015.
The fees for this examination are Rs.250 (Engineering) and Rs.500 (All). 16 colleges are participating in this.
Note that this examination is only for admission in Andhra Pradesh.

CLAT Examination
CLAT stands for Common Law Admission Test. It is conducted by Ram ManoharLohiya National Law University (RMLNLU) Lucknow.
This examination is essential for admission in LLB or LLM, anywhere within India.
CLAT would next be conducted on 10 May, 2015. 16 colleges are participating in this. 2722 seats are available this time.
A person needs 50% marks to crack this examination and stand eligible for getting admission in any of the affiliated colleges.
The examination fees are Rs.4000 for General/OBC and Rs.3500 for SC/ST.
CLAT is considered to be a tough examination as the topics are very wide, although most of it belongs to what you have already studied till standard 10th. A person needs to be witty and fast in order to crack this examination.

MAT Exam/AIMA
MAT stands for Management Aptitude Test. It is an examination for admission in MBA colleges in India.
It is an objective type test, conducted online as well as offline, in various centres across the country.
The examination is conducted four times a year, in February, May, September and December.
This examination is conducted by AIMA (All India Management Association).
